Some terrible phenomenon is taking place outside. Those who look are changed in grotesque ways.
Something beckons you to look, too.
DO IT.
Explore the warped interior of the apartment building you are stuck in. Fight hideous monsters that were once your neighbors. Manage weapons and ammo. Play video games. Craft bombs from household supplies. Cook. Answer the door. DONT let them in.
Keep yourself alive and sane as the world just outside your window stops making sense.

A survival horror RPG by Francis Coulombe, with music by Eric Shumaker, made in one month for the Hawktober game jam.
(Note: Once you reach the apartment buildings' ground floor, you have seen most of the games' current content. There is a bit more to see if you keep exploring, but it becomes more sparse after that.)

I enjoyed this game.
A cool story driven game with scenes that remind the player of great times in horror history like Ao Oni and mad father- but with cool battle mechanics! Solve grotesque puzzles and push through the grim world for an awesome story- really enjoying it so far.

I know your game was released a while ago, but I only found it this month so it gets a pass to be a part of the competition lol.
Unfortunately there is a bug when entering the second janitors closet that causes the game to totally freeze and corrupts the autosave
Ah, I think I know what that could be. (When I make a fix, you should be able to load the autosave in the new build.)

Also seems to be a problem where you just stay starving all the time even after cooking and eating, draining your health to zero. When someone knocks if you dont open the door it is opened anyway despite saying that the person at the door left also.
looking into that now. I could swear food and hunger were working fine, but maybe I messed something up last minute
ok- I got it. So basically, there is a glitch with food calculation, and only the best food is actually sating hunger. so the snacks all give you 0, and all the lower tier cooking meals also give you 0! So in the current build, only the highest value food sates hunger at all, and it sates very little! Im fixing it now.
